This too, shall pass
And it’s done, in this piece we can see the ocean waves passing through creating changes and going through various transformations. Despite all of these movements they look very still almost stuck in permanence.
In moments of stillness or whenever you feel a little stuck, just ponder on this truth: like the steadfast waves, things will eventually drift away in the currents of time, “this too, shall pass” :)

Echoes of Baja
This artwork is a heartfelt homage to Baja California Sur, the place that shaped my earliest inspirations and remains deeply rooted in my soul. Created just before my move to New York, it captures the essence of a landscape where desert meets ocean in a breathtaking convergence of textures and tones.
Drawing inspiration from topographical designs, the piece unfolds through carefully built layers—each one telling a story of the region’s rugged beauty and enduring spirit. Gesso forms the foundation, while acrylics lend vibrant depth, and metallic paint adds the finishing touch, shimmering like sunlight on the sea.
“Echoes of Baja” is not just a visual tribute; it is a reflection of the layers of memory, growth, and transition that accompany leaving home.

Little by little
This artwork stands as a testament to both craftsmanship and imagination, merging sculpture and fine art into an intricate homage to the underwater world. Composed of over 300 meticulously handcrafted clay shells, each unique and shaped with care, the piece forms a fossilized reef—a tribute to the beauty and fragility of marine ecosystems.
The layers and textures of this petrified reef echo the formations of coral and oceanic life, inviting viewers to marvel at its delicate balance. The muted tones and detailed forms create a sense of timelessness, as though preserving a moment of nature frozen in stone.
The process of creating “little by little” demanded extraordinary patience, skill, and vision, making it one of the most challenging yet rewarding pieces in my body of work. It embodies not only the grandeur of the sea but also the labor of love behind its creation.

Ocean Stroll
A harmonious series of four pieces, Ocean Stroll captures the quiet elegance of nature’s balance—the gentle meeting point between land and sea. The textured layers and muted tones convey a serene simplicity, inviting viewers to pause and reflect on the beauty of the shoreline.
Through its minimalistic design, the series explores the delicate line that defines yet unites two elements in constant motion. Ocean Stroll is an ode to balance, calm, and the profound connection between earth and ocean, evoking the tranquility of a walk along the shore.

Wabi-Sabi II
This monumental series of six wooden panels is one of the largest and most ambitious pieces in my body of work. Wabi Sabi Flow draws inspiration from the ocean’s rhythmic motion, where beauty emerges in the interplay of fluidity and imperfection. The concept of “wabi-sabi,” a Japanese philosophy celebrating impermanence and the allure of the imperfect, is at the heart of this work.
Each textured stroke mimics the undulating waves, with layers of intricate, hand-applied patterns that evoke the delicate harmony of nature. The calming hues of blues, greens, and whites blend seamlessly, creating a sense of both movement and tranquility. The imperfections in each stroke and detail invite the viewer to embrace the natural flow of life—raw, unfiltered, and authentically beautiful.

METÁFORA
This piece is a visual exploration of interconnectedness and flow, drawing inspiration from organic forms and natural patterns. Its layered, swirling textures and rich blue tones evoke the cross-section of tree rings or river currents, symbolizing the passage of time and the layers of experience.
Each stroke and curve represents a metaphorical journey—personal growth, transformation, and the intricate web of connections that define our lives. The tactile nature of the work invites viewers to reflect on the interplay between chaos and harmony, movement and stillness, complexity and simplicity.
“Metáfora” is both abstract and rooted in meaning, a reflection of the universal stories that shape us.

Cosmos
Created with alcohol ink on cotton canvas, Cosmos captures the awe-inspiring energy of creation. The vibrant blues and radiant textures resemble the birth of a star, an explosion of light and matter in the vastness of space. Its ethereal quality invites viewers to imagine celestial beginnings, where beauty is born from chaos.
The organic flow of ink mirrors the unpredictability of the universe, celebrating spontaneity and movement. Cosmos feels both infinite and intimate—a window into the grand mysteries of the universe and a reflection of the energy within us all.

This commissioned mural celebrates the majestic beauty of whales, a symbol of Baja California Sur’s breathtaking natural wonders. Painted with reverence and admiration, the piece captures the essence of these gentle giants during their migration season—an awe-inspiring spectacle unique to the region.
The fluid brushstrokes and gesso textured details reflect the movement and grace of the whale as it emerges from the depths. Creating this mural was an incredible experience, paying homage to one of nature’s most magnificent creatures while embodying the spirit of Baja’s coastal life.

MURAL OCÉANO
This collaborative mural, created alongside the talented Mexican artist Priscilla Gonzalez Urrea, is a vibrant tribute to the ocean’s beauty and mystery. Mural Océano blends textures, colors, and techniques, capturing the essence of underwater life and its ever-changing rhythms.
Working with Priscilla was an extraordinary experience, combining her expertise and artistic vision with my own to create a piece that celebrates both collaboration and individual creativity. This mural stands as a testament to the power of shared inspiration and the infinite allure of the sea.

Meeting Halfway
Meeting Halfway is an exploration of harmony, where two distinct mediums—watercolor and gesso—come together to create a dialogue between color and texture. This piece reflects the delicate balance of two stories merging, each maintaining its individuality while complementing the other.
The fluidity of watercolor contrasts with the tactile depth of gesso, illustrating the beauty that arises when differences unite. Meeting Halfway invites viewers to reflect on connection, compromise, and the shared spaces where two worlds meet.

Wabi-Sabi Swirl
This piece, a unique extension of the Wabi Sabi Flow series, explores not only the fluidity of motion but also the passage of time. Its concentric, flowing patterns reflect the rhythm of nature, where every moment aligns in imperfect yet harmonious timing.
The soft blues and greens evoke a sense of calm, while the textured layers create depth and movement, symbolizing the interplay between stillness and progress. Wabi Sabi Flow: Perfect Timing is a visual meditation on the beauty of life’s natural pace, celebrating the perfection within imperfection.

Whimsically
Whimsically is a heartfelt exploration of time, memory, and movement. Each swirling form represents a moment—a time capsule that, together, weaves the story of our lives. The layers of texture and vibrant energy unconsciously echo the spirit of Van Gogh’s Starry Night, a beloved inspiration that shines through in its dynamic composition.
This piece invites viewers to reflect on the whimsical nature of time: fleeting yet profound, chaotic yet beautifully connected. Whimsically is both a celebration of spontaneity and a meditation on how the moments that define us come together in unexpected harmony.

Parallel Mirrors
Parallel Mirrors captures the beauty and complexity of lives intersecting. The textured lines and flowing forms represent the moments when paths cross, intertwining at the perfect time, only to separate as each follows its destined course.
This piece explores the delicate balance between connection and individuality, illustrating how relationships shape us without altering our unique trajectories. The contrast between the soft, flowing patterns and bold textures symbolizes the harmony of fleeting unity and enduring independence.
Parallel Mirrors invites viewers to reflect on the fleeting yet profound connections that define our journeys.

Timeless Swirls
Timeless Swirls is a celebration of time’s subtle passage, brought to life through layered textures and dynamic volume. As daylight shifts, the shadows cast on the painting transform, creating a piece that evolves with the hours of the day.
The concentric patterns symbolize the cyclical nature of time—endless, flowing, and ever-changing. This interaction between light, shadow, and texture invites viewers to pause and reflect on the beauty of the present moment while contemplating the quiet movement of time itself.
A favorite among my works, Timeless Swirls is both a visual and emotional reminder of how time shapes and reshapes the spaces around us.
